EN Edith (44) returns home for her summer vacation. In the family's holiday routine, it becomes evident how Edith's disability affects the lives of her mother, Brigitte (67), and her sister, Ellen (35), and how their relationships are shaped by it. While the emotional world of the three women unfolds, the question of the absent men becomes ever more pressing.

DT Edith (44) lebt ihre Emotionen aus, ihr Enthusiasmus ist ansteckend, ihre Wut manchmal zerstörerisch. Der Film "Das Ewige Kind" geht der Frage nach, wie die Behinderung eines Familienmitgliedes das Leben und die Beziehungen der Mutter und eines Geschwisterkind geprägt hat. Immer stärker drängt sich dabei die Frage nach dem abwesenden Vater auf.
